If ever you are feeling despondent, suicidal, or simply in need of speaking with someone about your problems, please be aware that there are numerous hotlines with trained operators available to help you. These hotlines are free to use and completely anonymous. Please note that these resources are not associated with ForMomsOnly Inc.

If you are aware of other helplines or organizations that might benefit our members, please let us know.

Please understand that while ForMomsOnly cares deeply about our members and their well being, we also believe in anonymity as a key part of what enables people to share on our site. For that reason, we do not maintain phone numbers or home addresses of our members and lack the resources, information and tools to investigate or call local authorities in the event of an emergency. Forwarding the above hotline information is the best resource both we and you can provide to someone in need.

  • Our ForMomsOnly website member group is moderated, however please notify us via Contact Us or Email if you have any question or concerns you feel should be addressed by our Executive Board. We will do our very best to  address the problem discreetly and judiciously. Links are provided below for your ease of access. ForMomsOnly at formomsonly@gmail.com

  • Our founder, Barbara Smith had a simple request of our members; "Each day, try to reach out to someone new." This act alone is the foundation of ForMomsOnly.

  • ForMomsOnly is a group of grieving mothers who are going through traumatic experiences in need of support. Before journaling or commenting try to give moms the benefit of the doubt and think about how you'd feel as the recipient of your contributions. Is it appropriate? Is it helpful? Is it kind?

  • ForMomsOnly and its members are not healthcare professionals. Please do not give out medical advice.  These decisions need to be made by the individual and their healthcare professionals.

  • Personal attacks, harassment and bullying will not be tolerated. Attacks or threats against an individual or group are not allowed--zero tolerance.

  • The use of offensive language, sexual connotations and/or racist slurs are prohibited on our website.

  • Religious postings - ForMomsOnly has no religious affiliation. However, we believe that religion and  spirituality are some of the many "tools" that are available for personal healing. Moms must                 respect other's differing religious beliefs, and do not assume that other moms desire to subscribe to yours.

  • Political postings - As always, political views seems to have this country twisting and turning--there is no room    for that here. Grief does not choose political sides, nor should we.

  • SPAM or mass emailing to ForMomsOnly Members is prohibited.

  • Impersonating or misrepresentation - Impersonating another person or a grieving mother is prohibited and will result in the removal of your membership from this website.

  • Because of the nature of our healing and just plain caution in this day and age, we want to warn you about giving out personal information. Addresses and phone numbers should be kept private. So please be careful in posting these things in journals comments etc.

  • Threats of suicide or self-harm
